Hello!
I have a card to share with you today using a Sizzix Ink Its Plate. I have never used these before today but it gives a really nice deep impression and it was easy to use.
"Ink-its Letterpress Plates combine style and ease to create artful ink-debossed impressions. This easy process impresses paper, cardstock, chipboard, mat board and other soft, thick materials"
From the 1st - 15th December, these are Scrapbooker's Paradise latest Feature Item and you can pick them up for the special price of $5.99 instead of $7.50. If you are ordering online, just type FINK in the comments section of your order!
I tried using a few different types of ink but found Versafine to work the best. Versafine is an oil based pigment ink and it held on to the plate and transferred really well. Versafine is always my go to ink, its my favourite black ink.
I use the Cuttlebug and used the following sandwich:
(from the bottom up)
A plate
Ink Its plate....impression up
Cardstock
A thin piece of foam
B plate
I tried a few types of paper but liked the watercolour paper the best, I love the thickness and texture of watercolour paper plus it was an off white and matched my Basic Grey Paper and off white flowers a little better!
My new team mate Pam has made a project with the music note ink it plate....be sure to check out her blog here! And then go and leave a comment on todays post at the Scrapbooker's Paradise blog for a chance to win your own Sizzix Ink Its Plate!
My Christmas cards did not quite go to plan this year, between being super busy and coming down with the flu and Tonsilitus this past two weeks, I only managed to make a few! But I will take some photos and load them here soon!!
Enjoy your day - thanks for stopping by!
